Welcome to the 2016 Season!

Scrimmages are THIS week:  Friday, August 5 & Saturday, August 6.  Please be available to work a scrimmage.  You should have received your assignments through Zebra-Ware.  Please log on and accept your assignments or notify Don Melton why you are unable.  He will work with you on your scheduling as needed.  We have made agreements with the schools we service to provide officiating at these scrimmages.  Let’s be sure we keep our word!

If you can work on Friday, August 5 (especially during the day) please let Don Melton know.

Paperwork and Dues: These should be completed and submitted.  Please submit immediately of you have not done so yet!

State TestPlease take care of this if you want to officiate this season.  Testing NEEDS to be completed by August 8.  You cannot work until you have taken a test and passed with a 70%.

District Clinics:  Ft. Worth Clinic is Sunday, August 7.  These are the last of the clinics.  The Online Clinic will be your only option after August 7.  You must have attended the State Meeting, a district Clinic or take the On-line version in order to be able to officiate.

Schedules:  Don is working on schedules.    If you have not taken care of business you cannot work games at any level this season.  Don is scheduling as if you are taking care of business.  If he needs to pull schedules and re-assign he will.

Mentor Program: If you are a first-year official you must participate in our Mentoring Initiative.  If you have not enrolled please contact Mark Krone at mlktexas@prodigy.net to be enrolled.  Second – Fourth officials should seriously consider participating.  Fifth and above, we need many more of you to mentor our younger officials.

Make this season your best season ever!  Work hard, be professional in all areas, set goals and find at least one area you can improve upon, and help one another become better along the way.   Have a great season!
